GOLDEN VIKING TOUR
A real Viking tour. Where we can feel the history of the Vikings and the history of Sweden. We pass the beautiful country-side of Stockholm on the way to historicsites like Sigtuna and Uppsala. Tour description: The first stop is at an old Viking Bridge named “Jarlabankes bro”, to see some runic stones. The next stop is at an old Viking Parliament, Arkils Tingplats. From there we go to the farm Granby, where we will see ruins of a Viking longhouse and a rock with runic inscriptions. The tour takes us through Lunda on our way to the town of Sigtuna which was one of the main market-places of the Vikings. We will have free time to experience the centre of the town with the opportunity for a light lunch. From Sigtuna we will go to Old Uppsala, probably the most historic place in Sweden because of its old Viking parliament and Mounds. Finally, we will visit the "Younger Uppsala", where you will have free time to explore places such as the Cathedral, the Old City and the Shopping Street.
